I see Jesus in YOU Mike…almost every morning when I envision you in my prayers…and when I take a little longer than a passing glance…I see Him in you in my “memory eyes” at your kitchen table after the HFR 40th Anniversary when Anne, Jan, Lee, Charlotte, you, and I shared one of the sweetest times of fellowship I will experience this side of Glory…how can tears and laughter both be better than dessert?

So she bought me a new one.

But not just any ol’ CD player. This one was state-of-the-art (and, I’m sure, expensive). With it Martha sent a note:

“This is the best player I could find . . . because I want you to know God’s plan for your future is not hand-me-downs and leftovers. His plans for you are best (see Jeremiah 29:11).”

Turns out my friend was right, and I’ve never forgotten both her gift and words (and the incredible encouragement they brought).

Thanks, Martha. Jesus spoke powerfully through you that day.

It takes but a moment to see the face of Jesus.

I see Jesus in my children. The joy they are to my life. Their innocence and their awe at God’s wonderful creation.

I see Jesus in my church. The way my fellow Christians respond when they see or hear of a need. How quickly they get out their pocketbooks or prepare a meal or fall to their knees in prayer.

I see Jesus in the face of the man on the side of the street, holding his sign asking for help. Jesus is there.

I hope to Jesus when I look in the mirror. I pray that others see Jesus in me.

Jesus is all around us. He’s not just our Lord in the pages of the Bible. He walks with us today. We merely need to take the time to look.

Look for Jesus in your daily life – see what He is doing today. Talk to Him, seek Him out. Share how Jesus is working in your life – how you’ve seen Him in today’s world.
